Restore Essential Minerals to RO Water
Pure RO or distilled water lacks the essential minerals axolotls need for stable, healthy aquarium conditions. Our Axolotl RO Water Care Kit makes remineralizing RO water easy.
This two-bottle system restores essential minerals and buffering capacity to RO water, helping you create a more suitable environment for your axolotl.
GH Remineralizer
Adds calcium, magnesium, and other essential minerals to help establish the appropriate general hardness (GH) for your aquarium.KH Buffer
Restores carbonate buffering to help support stable KH and pH.
Dosing:
For every 5 gallons of RO water:
- Add 10 mL (2 capfuls) GH Remineralizer
- Add 10 mL (2 capfuls) KH Buffer
- Mix thoroughly & add to the aquarium
The water needs to aerate in the aquarium for 6 hours before testing the water.
Recommended Water Parameters
GH: 8–11 dGH
KH: 4–5 dKH
pH: 7.3–7.8
Because water chemistry can vary, test the water after 6 hours and adjust your dosing if necessary.
One 8 oz bottle contains approximately 24 doses, treating up to 120 gallons of RO water when used at the recommended 10 mL per 5 gallons.
