All About Axolotls Tulsa

Axolotls Tulsa is more than a pet store. Our facility includes:

    •   2000 square feet of retail space

    •   1000  square feet dedicated to our grow-out nursery

    •   1000 square feet of axolotl merchandise

Across the store and nursery we operate around 100 tanks, allowing us to carefully raise axolotls through every stage of life.

From eggs and hatchlings to healthy juveniles ready for new homes, we maintain approximately 200 axolotls in rotating stages at all times.

Our Breeding Program

We maintain 22 breeding adults representing a wide variety of morphs. Our breeding program focuses on responsible genetics and lineage tracking.

Rather than random breeding, we carefully match recessive genes and known bloodlines to produce healthy animals and maintain the integrity of each morph. This allows us to offer customers a wide range of beautiful axolotls while maintaining strong genetics.

Most of the axolotls available in our store are 3–5 inch juveniles, a great size for new owners and safe for shipping.

A Destination for Axolotl Lovers

Visitors travel from across the country to experience Axolotls Tulsa. Our showroom displays multiple tanks of axolotls so guests can see different morphs up close and learn about these fascinating amphibians.

Our 1,000 sq ft merchandise area (Snaxolotls) also features axolotl-themed items including plush toys, collectibles, candy and gifts for enthusiasts of all ages.

Nationwide Shipping & Complete Setup Kits

We proudly offer nationwide overnight shipping for axolotls and supplies. To make owning an axolotl easier for beginners, we also provide complete setup kits that include seeded items for instant aquarium setups.

These kits help new owners start with a properly prepared environment so their axolotl can thrive from day one.

For the safety of our animals, we ship most of the year but avoid shipping to areas experiencing extreme cold temperatures below 20°F.

Education is a big part of what we do. Our team regularly works with schools, churches, and community groups to teach people about axolotls, amphibians, and responsible animal care.
